FTPA welcomes, in June 2020, Lise Damelet as partner, to develop a practice of competition law, distribution law & compliance within the Firm.
She assists large French and international groups, listed and unlisted, before French and European competition authorities, both in advice and in litigation. In particular, she has developed leading expertise in merger control and state aid in the context of major corporate restructuring. She is also involved in cartels and abuse of dominance.

Her journey
Lise graduated from Science Po Lille, major in Public Service in 2001, a Master II in international and European law from the University of Lille II in 2002, and a Master II Law and Tax from EDHEC Business School in 2004. She has been a lawyer at the Paris Bar since 2007.
Before joining FTPA, Lise worked in two leading international firms, first at Latham & Watkins and then at Orrick. Lise has extensive experience in competition law after practicing for 10 years with Orrick’s Antitrust & Competition team where she was appointed Of Counsel in 2017.
Co-founder of the Paris Bar Incubator, she was recognized as a "European Young Innovative Lawyer" by the Financial Times in 2016 for her action in favor of the digitalization of the legal profession in France. In 2017, she co-founded the National Network of Bar Incubators bringing together the 16 bar incubators existing to date in France. In 2019, she became a member of the scientific committee of the Club of Jurists (Digital Pole) for the particular purposes of conducting a study on "Competition policies & Digital Economy". She is also a member of the Association of Competition Law Practitioners (APDC) and the French Association for the Study of Competition (AFEC), in particular.
Lise Damelet is accompanied by a collaborator, Anahita Kazemzadeh. Before joining FTPA, Anahita developed expertise in state aid as a state aid officer in the General Directorate of Enterprise of the Ministry of Economy and Finance. She also worked as an assistant rapporteur for the French Competition Authority, Competition 2, Electronic communications and the digital economy.
